It’s haul time! I am so excited to share my little splurge of the month with you! January is nearly coming to an end, and Christmas and New Year holidays seem like a distant memory now, what else can cheer a girl up as well as some shopping does? Well, I am no exception to the rule: I am a girl, I did some shopping and it sure has cheered me up when it arrived earlier this week from one of my favourite boutiques – Brummels of London!
If you have been reading my blog for a while (hmmm, for a year that is), or if you follow my Instagram posts, you may have picked up that I am a sucker for all things skincare and haircare and love-love-love discovering new products! I have been on a lookout for a good – preferably natural – hand cream as my good old trusty Aesop hand balm is just about done and dusted with (I will definitely repurchase it as it is amazing), I fancied trying something different to get me through the rest of the winter. Having looked through the latest email newsletter from one of my favourite stores in London, a boutique called Brummels of London, I was tempted by the Daylesford Lavender and Rosemary hand lotion with the handy pump (£14 for 250ml). I mean, I was sold pretty much as soon as I saw the words “lavender”, “english” and “natural”: I am a huge fan of lavender, I find its fragrance so soothing, and it really reminds me of those hot August summer days, brimming with the gorgeous sunshine and the great outdoors…

Sans [ceuticals] Nourishing Hair Hydratant Ultra +
I have also been looking for a rich and nourishing hair conditioner or balm as I feel like it is worth giving my hair some extra moisture and nourishment during the cold months: my hair gets exposed to the elements and the harsh heat of the radiators, and Sans [ceuticals] Nourishing Hair Hydratant Ultra + is just the thing I need in my life right now, so, clearly, I had no choice but to add it to my virtual Shopping Cart!
Protective hair perfume by Sachajuan
Another product I have been coveting for a while was the Protective hair perfume by Sachajuan (currently £40 for 50ml), a gorgeous Swedish brand that has rocked the world in haircare. I heard so many good things about it from a few beauty bloggers, and I have been wanting to get close and personal with Sachajuan’s products. I adore the simplicity of the packaging design, it is so minimalist and so Scandi, it’s awesome!
I could not resist and had a quick spray of the perfume on my hair – oh, my, the fragrance is beautiful! I was not really sure what to expect from a hair perfume as I have never actually used one before: it is quite complex, and I would not mind it being a “normal” perfume: I would be happy to wear it on my skin!
I love Brummels as they give you a good selection of product samples to choose from and add to the Cart, and as I enjoy exploring different products, I opted for the Sachajuan’s shampoo and conditioner sachets and I cannot wait to try them! I have also been curious to try the Malin+Goetz detox face mask – plenty of amino acids in it promise the deep skin hydration and I sure can do with that: this winter my skin seems to be particularly dry, it has been pretty cold in London this January. In my opinion, Malin+Goetz are a great NYC pharmacy brand, I am currently loving their eucalyptus deodorant – as far as natural deodorants go, it works really well – so I was curious to see if the mask is nice too.
I am super excited to start using all of these products and I will be sure to share my thoughts on them here sometime soon, after I have used them for long enough to form the opinion! Though, I must admit, I have already been impressed by the gorgeous Sachajuan hair perfume. Just the one spritz of the stuff was enough to win me over as the fragrance is so very nice and pleasant! I wonder if anyone else tried any of these products yet? Let me know!
