Spitalfields’ great lunch spot: pizzeria delivers top pizza pronto!
The title of this post really says it all: if you happen to be in the area of Spitalfields or Liverpool Street Station and you are on a lookout for somewhere to eat good honest food, look no further: Pizza Union is a must! It is located just a stone throw away from Bishopsgate in 25 SANDY’S ROW, LONDON, E1 7HW. Pizza Union also has branches in Kings Cross area and by Aldgate – do check Pizza Union’s website for more information!
I thought I would share this mini review with the wide world and hope someone will find it useful. Pizza lovers like me will definitely appreciate the crispy, slightly charred thin base Roman style pizza (it did remind me of Rome… ), and the fast service is a big bonus, especially if you are in a hurry.
Me and my dear friend and colleague decided to go there on a lunch date last Friday and we both left the place smiling: our pizzas were so delicious! Despite the peak time “chaos” of hungry City workers from the nearby offices getting their lunch, our pizzas were cooked quite quickly (the flashing light buzzer called us to the pick up counter well under 10 minutes!) and we have managed to find a seat!
I opted for a simple pizza with mushrooms, and my friend went for the good old pepperoni pizza. At £4.95 and £5.95 respectively, these are a great value for money! Pizzas come in a generous size of 12 inches, and, if you love margherita, it will only cost you £3.95 – a real bargain!
And, should you have a sweet tooth and if you are a dessert lover, you can go for Pizza Union’s two options: Classico warm dough ring with Nutella and mascarpone – OMG, it was so delicious! – and a choice of various flavours of gelato made by a London-based gelateria called Gelupo.
I am so going back there again! What a find!
Ciao, Pizza Union! Arrivederci!
